Hi, I’m Dr. Golnaz!
I’ve always known I wanted a career where I could take care of people, build lasting relationships, and give back to my community. For a while, I thought that meant social work—but when I discovered dentistry, I realized it was the perfect mix of everything I loved. Every day I get to help people feel more comfortable, more confident, and even change the way they think about going to the dentist.
I studied dentistry at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Florida, and since then I’ve made it a priority to keep learning and growing. I’ve trained at the Kois Center and Spear Education, which are some of the most respected institutes in the country, and I’m always pushing myself to bring the very best to my patients.
One of my favorite parts of dentistry is the technology — it makes such a difference in comfort, precision, and results. Tools like the Solea Laser, Cone Beam CT (CBCT), and CEREC one-visit crowns let us do incredible things, from same-day crowns to pain-free fillings. It’s so rewarding to see how much these advances help patients feel at ease, and it really aligns with our mission here at Sopris Smiles: to change perceptions of dentistry through personalized, tech-driven care.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me out in the Colorado sunshine — skiing, golfing, hiking, or doing yoga. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup, Ringo. Giving back is important to me too, so I volunteer with organizations like Colorado Mission of Mercy, Homelessness Connect, and Freedom Day, where I can provide care for people who need it most.
What I love most about Sopris Smiles is that we don’t just fix teeth — we care about people. We laugh, we connect, and we make sure every patient feels truly seen and cared for.
Dentistry can (and should!) be a positive, even fun, experience, and I feel so lucky to be part of a team that brings that vision to life every day.
After more than three decades in dentistry, I am preparing for retirement at the end of this year. It has been an incredible honor to serve this community, and I am humbled by the friendships and trust so many of you have shared with me—some dating back to when my father first began this practice in 1969.
As I transition into retirement, I am excited for you to meet Dr. Golnaz here at Sopris Smiles. She is highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to continuing the same tradition of quality, personalized care my father and I have always valued. I will be working alongside her on a limited basis for a short time to help with the transition, and I have complete confidence you will feel at home with her and her team.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being part of your lives and your care—it has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life.
