What I enjoy most about dentistry is the people. A single visit can open the door to someone’s story, and I’ve found that listening first is the best way to provide care that truly matters. Patients often teach me as much as I help them, and that exchange is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Outside of Sopris, I thrive on music, mountains, and movement—whether it’s catching a show at Red Rocks, skiing in the winter, or walking the quiet fairways on a golf course. I especially love playing solo rounds; there’s something grounding about the rhythm of the game and the calm between shots.
The perspective I try to carry through life is simple: don’t take things too seriously. Life is fragile, so I remind myself to enjoy the good, learn from the hard, and always keep moving forward.
At Sopris, that same balance carries over. Our team feels like family—we support each other, laugh often, and stay professional where it matters. That blend makes the work both meaningful and fun, and I think patients can feel it too.
I’m a proud Colorado native, born and raised in Denver. Family is everything to me, and some of my greatest joys come from spending time with my children and grandchildren—I’m so grateful for them.
I try to live each day by the Golden Rule, and that’s something I carry with me in and outside of the office. Whether you catch me grocery shopping or even on a cruise (yes, I’ve bumped into patients in both places!), I love connecting with people wherever I go.
One of my favorite parts of dentistry is getting to know our patients and helping them feel comfortable and welcomed in the practice. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to form so many wonderful friendships.
I’m a true Colorado girl at heart—just as comfortable in my hiking boots as I am dressed up for a fancy dinner. I like to think of it as a little “mountain chic” balance.
Some of my simple joys include savoring a nice glass of red wine and making time for the things that keep me grounded, like working out. In fact, I’ve bumped into more than a few patients at the gym!
One piece of advice I always carry with me is: You can’t please them all, but give it your best always. That mindset guides me not only in my personal life but also in the way I care for patients.
What I love most about dentistry is getting to know the people who walk through our doors. Building those connections and being part of their care journey makes my work truly rewarding.
I’ve been a dental hygienist for 17 years, and what I’ve learned is that the little things matter most—whether it’s helping someone feel comfortable in the chair, celebrating their healthiest smile, or just sharing a laugh. I love getting to know my patients as people first, because when we understand what’s most important to them, we can make dentistry truly personal.
Outside the office, life is busy and full—hauling kids around, tackling grocery runs, or sneaking in time outdoors (my happy place). And if I get a moment just for myself? You’ll probably find me enjoying dark chocolate… sometimes even as a whole meal.

Dr. Golnaz is one of the rare dentists who blends the latest technology with a thoughtful, conservative approach, and she’s surrounded herself with a team that cares deeply. After nearly two decades in this field, I know how lucky I am to be part of this practice.

I thrive in sunshine, so I’m lucky Colorado gives us up to 300 days of it a year! Whether I’m hiking or snowshoeing while taking in the breathtaking mountain views, or spending hours exploring new little mountain towns, I love discovering the unique shops and restaurants tucked away in each one — like finding hidden gems.
A few of the small things that make me smile: a good cup of coffee, fresh crisp sheets, leftover cold Chinese food, hot sauce on (almost) everything, and above all, time with my incredible daughters. When I’m not at home with my girls and our furry poodles and not-so-furry Sphynx cats, you’ll likely find me trying a new restaurant, exploring Colorado’s scenic beauty, shopping, or grabbing a coffee.
One phrase I really try to live by is “amor fati” — love of fate. To me, it means accepting and embracing your life through every chapter, even the unexpected or difficult parts, and growing from those experiences rather than letting them define you. I always try to find the lesson, appreciate the good, and find beauty in the ordinary, whether it’s a quiet morning with coffee, laughter from a loved one, or a beautiful sunset.
What I love most about working with patients is making people feel comfortable, cared for, and truly heard. Being able to create a positive experience and turn what can feel like a stressful process into something much easier is so rewarding, and building relationships and earning a patient’s trust is one of my favorite parts of the job.
As for Sopris, I love the people and the positive energy. Everyone brings something different to the team, and I genuinely enjoy being part of a skilled group that cares so deeply about what we do and the patients we serve.
If there’s one thing that’s truly Colorado about me, it’s the sunshine — we’re lucky to have so much of it, and I like to think I bring a little of that sunny disposition with me every day. You’ll often find me out in the mountains near the water, ideally with my family and my dogs close by.
When I’m not at the office, I’m usually creating a new piece for my Etsy shop or out enjoying live music — I love concerts and festivals. And I’ll let you in on a little secret (shh): I have a soft spot for reality TV and crime documentaries. A piece of advice I’ve always carried with me is to treat others the way I’d want to be treated, and I’m a big believer in karma — what you put out into the world comes back to you.
What I love most about this work is building lasting relationships with patients while providing excellent care with our cutting-edge technology. Helping someone have a good visit, especially when they walk in feeling anxious, and knowing I made their experience better, is the most rewarding part of my day.
